What shipped in Power Trip
Heavy Fuses restore Power Plant services. Green recyclers operate at 50% efficiency without sufficient grid power and 60% with it; maximum power also enables the 75% red recycler at the plant.
Launch Site gained the Satellite Control Computer. Players steer an impact location; the visible descent gives others time to contest the loot, which must cool before collection. Treat old preview activation costs as historical, not a shopping list.
Useful monument changes
Airfield gained supply-drop and Chinook terminals. Oxum’s gained a car lift with a backup generator. Oil Rig switches send crude to Dome for collection using a tanker vehicle module.
The Supermarket freezer receives frequent smaller food refreshes and occasional larger ones. Water Treatment Plant maintenance restores roadside water supplies.
Heavy Fuses: the hotfix matters
The 7 August implementation change made the three weakest installed fuses deteriorate at the full rate and all other installed fuses deteriorate more slowly. The slower rate is selected per item. A main-branch cherry-pick confirms the change reached the release branch.
That supersedes the preview claim that only one fuse burns while the rest wait untouched. Fuse life is configurable and was adjusted after launch, so this guide does not promise a fixed lifetime or reproduce the preview phase table.
Later changes to account for
Breach and Clear, released on 3 September, added blockers at red-card monuments. Destroyed blockers stay gone; uncleared blockers begin decaying after the first 24 hours.
Drone marketplaces now need at least 50% battery charge. Four active Power Plant fuses allow charging; one active fuse prevents discharge. September also reworked Water Treatment Plant pressure and reduced Dome pump storage to 1,000 crude.
Release context and server timing
The August PC update arrived on Thursday, 6 August 2026. Monthly releases normally require a map wipe when servers update; their restart times and blueprint policies remain separate.
RustFront was offline for maintenance during this release. Its configured wipe and blueprint schedules resume when the network returns; the server pages show the operational state.
Common questions
What is the August 2026 Rust update called?
Power Trip. Facepunch released it on 6 August 2026.
Did Satellite Crash ship in August?
Yes. It shipped in Power Trip. The earlier staging previews are superseded by the release announcement.
Do queued Heavy Fuses remain undamaged?
No. The August hotfix made all installed fuses deteriorate, with the weakest three deteriorating at the full rate and the others more slowly.
Does a force wipe always reset blueprints?
Map and blueprint wipes are separate. Check the server’s blueprint policy and any explicit Facepunch blueprint-wipe announcement. RustFront’s configured weekly-server blueprints reset monthly, and its servers are currently offline for maintenance.
