How loot chance works

The chance that a freshly spawned container, or a killed NPC, rolls at least one Metal Chest Plate. Container chances are before inventory limits: a full crate can discard rolled items, while bonus scrap drops beside it.

Repair cost rules

A half worn item costs half as much to repair. Rust stores no repair cost. The bench builds one from the crafting recipe: components are swapped for the first ingredient of their own recipe, then everything is charged at 20% and rounded up.
